Jones Plastic celebrates 50 years in business

Jones Plastic and Engineering announced the company is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2011.

In 1961, Harry and Larry Jones began the company initially manufacturing whiskey caps for liquor bottles, but later expanded operations to include high-speed molding and closet organizational solutions, with the establishment of Rev-A-Shelf as company division in the 1980s.

“My father, Harry and Uncle Larry insisted on providing customers with the best product and service possible. The 50th anniversary is testament to our continued dedication to this core value," said Craig Jones, chief executive officer.

Since established, Jones Plastic and Engineering has grown to a staff of almost 2,400 employees worldwide and operates plants comprised of nearly 1 million square feet, according to the company.

“2011 was never a goal, nor did we ever expect to be in business this long,” said Harry Jones. “The reason we are still here today is because we were very fortunate to find great people willing to work hard to satisfy our customers.”
